ISLMA/LBSS ENDOWMENT FUND GRANT

We are thrilled to announce that 160 Illinois schools and libraries received the second annual ISLMA/LBSS Endowment Fund book grants.  Grant recipients, who agreed to participate in the Children’s Choice programs (now Readers’ Choice programs), were shipped one set of books for the 2010 reading campaign at the level indicated on their grant application.  The Illinois reading awards programs are the Monarch Award (k-3), the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Book Award (4-8), and the Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award (9-12) and in 2011 the new Bluestem Award (3-5).  Students throughout the state of Illinois may participate in the programs by reading these books and voting for their favorite title.  Click here for the 2009 recipients.
